Nachi Gupta
Nachi Gupta is an angel investor, primarily in life sciences and medical technologies. He is an advisor to multiple venture capital funds and a clinical stage pharmaceutical company. Dr. Gupta is currently Chief Innovation Officer at Kriya Therapeutics, a leading AAV gene therapy company. As a founding member of the company, he has worked across multiple divisions of the company, gaining significant experience in molecular biology, clinical development, and business development. Dr. Gupta is a board-certified emergency physician and continues to practice emergency medicine in the bay area for one weekend each month. He completed his residency training at Mount Sinai Hospital and Elmhurst Hospital in New York City. He previously worked in financial modeling and prediction at Brevan Howard Asset Management, specifically focusing on G10 FX, commodities, emerging markets, and U.S. economics. He also previously worked in ballistic missile defense on a scientific and computational team at MIT Lincoln Labs and on Hanscom Air Force Base. Dr. Gupta completed his MD at Brown University and his PhD in mathematics and computer science at Oxford University. He received graduate and undergraduate degrees from the University of Pennsylvania in mathematics, computer science, economics, and telecommunications.
