Daniel Gould

Daniel Gould has twenty years experience in digital media and entertainment and is currently leading the Content Distribution business development team for Roku. He is an active angel and residential real estate investor. His angel portfolio has 70+ startups including Redfin, Assure, Blokable, Carta, Flexport, Grove Collaborative, Jumbotail, Parsable, Pax, and SandboxVR as key investments. Daniel founded one of the first online entertainment analytics startups (SphereMedia) and sold to a media DRM company (MusicMarc). He also founded a recording studio (Vent Studios) and independent record label (Wax Orchard) distributed nationally by Koch Entertainment. Daniel has seven years of experience representing TV networks and Internet/wireless distributors (e.g. Fox, Univision, Viacom, Intel Media, Sony, and Verizon). He negotiated the first wave of TV Everywhere deals with MVPDs (Comcast, DIRECTV) and live OTT deals with TV networks while at PlayStation Vue. Daniel also has six years of product management experience in streaming media and advertising, including the first personalized radio subscription service at MusicMatch, the first personalized e-mail marketing system at Amazon, and the Zune music store at MSN (Microsoft). Daniel holds a B.A. in Music, Science & Technology from Stanford and a J.D. from Columbia Law School.
