Daniel Swartz

Daniel Swartz is a human resources executive with over 25 years of experience driving organizational strategy and operational excellence across the high-tech, biopharmaceutical, and medical device sectors. Throughout his career, he has focused on helping organizations grow quickly while handling more complicated operations.

Currently, he serves as the VP of Human Resources for Global Technology and Clinical Operations at Align Technology, supporting the teams responsible for the company’s core technical and clinical innovations. Prior to Align, he held leadership roles at Coherent and SRI International. At SRI, he served as the Staffing Manager for the CALO project, the largest DARPA contract in history—where he led the recruitment of the elite technical team that eventually spun off to create Siri.

Daniel earned a master’s degree in organizational development from the University of San Francisco and specializes in organizational design. He lives in San Jose, California, is married, and has one child.
