Mike Maszy
Mike Maszy is a serial startup entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience in medical devices. Currently he is the VP of Operations at Shockwave Medical (IPO) a fast-growing company pioneering the novel use of vascular lithotripsy. Prior to Shockwave, Mike was an executive at Endologix and Trivascular (IPO, Acquisition), two companies that specialized in innovative abdominal aortic stent grafts like Ovation, Alto and Nellix. Mike also worked at Medtronic for ten years in various divisions such as PS Medical, AVE and Xomed and has extensive experience in Class III medical devices, as well as combination devices, quality systems, IPO’s, mergers & acquisitions. He has been responsible for leading Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, New Product Development and has a BS & MS in Industrial & Systems Engineering and an MBA from the Wharton School,University of Pennsylvania. Mike grew up in a family business in Florida where his father started an imported auto parts and remanufacturing company. He enjoys advising startups and has been a Milestone Maker Mentor for the Nasdaq Entrepreneurial Center and an Executive Advisor for UCSF Rosenman Institute. He lives in Saratoga, CA with his wife Angel and they have 5 children and a German shorthaired pointer.
