The Accelerators SiG will meet on Monday, July 24th from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM in Palo Alto with KLA-Tencor's Innovation Partner’s Program (IPP) team headed by Frank Bureen. IPP relies on a network of Innovation Ecosystem Partnerships with VCs, Incubators, Infrastructure players, etc. designed to deliver around 10 young companies per month for KLA-Tencor to evaluate and potentially partner with if the fit looks good. IPP's investment targets share a hardware element that will need to be scaled rapidly to capture maximum market opportunity. Under that broad qualifier, the IPP team also looks for unique capabilities KLA-Tencor can bring to its partners to help with their market differentiation. The investment model is cash for equity plus in-kind work, usually for convertible debt. Investment size range is $1-$4M based on current deals. Frank will talk about the program objectives, and the current suite of investments/engagements as well give a sense of where they are heading and, of course, answer any questions and welcome any suggestions. For more information, contact the Accelerators SiG Chair Sanjiv Taneja (sanjiv@bandangels.com).
