Congratulations to Tony Shipley for receiving the 2023 Hans Severiens Award. Named after the founder of Band of Angels, this annual award presented by the Angel Capital Association (ACA) is honoring individuals who advance angel investing. Tony is an ACA Board of Directors Member, Seed the Future Campaign Chair and Chairman and Co-Founder of Queen City Angels.

The quality of the Band was on vivid display in the lineup at our 12th Portfolio Day. On March 30th we heard updates from nine portfolio companies: CarIQ (October 2017 Dinner and July 2018 Second Look); Earth Grid (July 2022 Dinner); Kango (May 2017 Dinner and May 2018 Second Look); Loopie (September 2021 Dinner and October 2022 Second Look); Open Sesame (April 2022 Dinner); Peanut Robotics (August 2021 Dinner); RAM Medical (March 2018 Dinner); Resonado (May 2019 Dinner); and Beyond 4 formerly Your Fare (April 2017 Dinner and July 2019 Second Look).
