Portfolio News: Pegasus Solar Raises Series A Round Led by Ecosystem Integrity Fund

Band portfolio company Pegasus Solar, a leading designer and manufacturer of innovative rooftop mounting systems for solar installations, announced today that it has closed on a Series A round of equity funding led by Ecosystem Integrity Fund (“EIF”), with additional participation from Okapi Capital, Howard Wenger, Mike Miskovsky, and other solar industry executives.

Pegasus said will use the proceeds to grow its sales and customer support teams and to continue its industry-leading efforts to design and manufacture efficient and functional solar mounting systems.

Space Technology and Investment Forum

Band member Thomas Dittler, Chair of the AeroAstro Special Interest Group (SiG) was a speaker on the topic of “International Investment in Space Activities” at the Space Technology and Investment Forum held on August 30th - 31st in San Francisco. Organized by the Space Foundation, it was a prestigious gathering of some of the most innovative, insightful and visionary professionals from the entrepreneurial and investment sectors of space and technology.

IEEE Vision, Innovation, and Challenges Summit

Band member Kurt Petersen, Chair of the Band of Angels Wearables, Consumer & Semiconductor Special Interest Group (WCS SIG), participated in the inaugural IEEE Vision, Innovation, and Challenges Summit (IEEE VIC Summit). The Summit brought leading innovators, visionaries, and disruptors in technology together in San Francisco. The panel session that Kurt participated in, “Entrepreneurship: Innovating and Challenges,” was a big hit with the audience and addressed many stimulating questions.

PitchForce is a monthly fundraising event for startups in software, social, mobile, big data, consumer web, finance/payments, clean tech, biotech or MedTech sectors.
