One of Ms. Tran’s early clean energy investments had a recent successful exit in April 2016. With over a decade of experience in talent acquisition and angel investment, Ms. Tran has been privileged to work alongside dynamic and emerging startups from coast to coast. Ms. Tran’s hands-on approach to team building, entrepreneurship, marketing, and finance are the key cornerstones of her success. Ms. Tran earned double bachelors degrees in Computer Science and Accounting from the University of San Diego. Tram is married to her best friend and soul-mate of 20 years with two teenagers ages 12 and 14. In her spare time, Tram enjoys running, biking, hiking, reading, and traveling with her family. Tram has trekked on the Annapurna Circuit in Nepal, ziplined through the forest of Costa Rica, hiked to Wayna Picchu overlooking Machu Picchu in Peru, hiked to the top of Half Dome in Yosemite National Park, ran multiple half marathons, paraglided over the Alps in Zermatt, Switzerland, and scuba dived around the world including Fiji and Palau, Micronesia. Tram grew up in the gang- and drug-infested neighborhood of East San Diego with 7 family members in a dilapidated studio apartment. At the age of 10, Tram started her first job placing promotional flyers on car windshields in parking lots for $20 a day, in order to subsidize the family's income and whose parents were already working 3 jobs a day. Tram's story, from Vietnamese boat immigrant to successful Silicon Valley entrepreneur, is a classic rags to riches
