Ted Sapountzis is currently the Chief Marketing Officer at iCharts, an early-stage SaaS analytics software company. Prior to iCharts, Ted led marketing and product management at NextPrinciples, an enterprise software startup helping companies extract true value from social media. Prior to NextPrinciples, Ted was a VP at SAP. His roles at SAP included building SAP’s social media marketing practices, leading their SaaS BI business and co-leading the corporate strategy group. Ted was previously a management consultant with McKinsey & Company and earlier in his career built and led enterprise software products and businesses at Talus Solutions (acquired by Manugistics) and Sabre. He has written articles on pricing, risk management and network theory in The McKinsey Quarterly and IEEE Computing Futures, and has presented at various social media / social CRM, revenue management and network strategy conferences. Ted holds an MS in Operations Research from Stanford University and a BA in Computer Science and Mathematics from Colgate University.
