Sanjiv Taneja co-founded and led Low Power Design IP start-up, Abreezio, targeted at extending the battery life of smart phones. Abreezio was acquired by Qualcomm in Oct’15. Prior to starting Abreezio, Sanjiv served as VP at Cadence Design Systems where he led teams in several capacities, including R&D, product marketing and business development. While working for AT&T Bell Labs (now part of Nokia), Sanjiv co-invented transistor sizing based power minimization CAD tool that reduced active power consumption on processor designs by over 50%. Sanjiv is a Board Director of FemtoDx, a life sciences start-up bringing molecular diagnostics to a smartphone plug-in. He serves as a mentor to high school students at The Harker School. Sanjiv holds a BS degree in EE from IIT New Delhi, a MS degree in CS from Ohio State University, and a MBA degree from New York University. During his free time, Sanjiv enjoys yoga, tennis and hiking.
