Neal Hansen has led high tech companies through start ups, turnaround situations and the transition to high growth and sustainable profitability for 40 years. He has also been responsible for significant international expansion of these companies, public and private financings, a number of M & A transactions and creating products and services to enter new markets. After service in the US Navy, and completion of college, he began his career with IBM and left to become one of the founders of First Data Resources where he held a number of senior roles in sales and operations. He ultimately became Senior Vice President and General Manager of the company's data center and card processing operations. He left after the completion of the sale of First Data to American Express and joined Applied Communications Inc, becoming its President and CEO. ACI underwent a period of significant growth and international expansion becoming a leader internationally in providing transaction processing software and services to financial institutions, retailers and petroleum companies. He was instrumental in the sale of ACI to US West and subsequently became President of US West's Data Services Group, a collection of multiple US West technology companies. After leaving US West he led the LBO of CSG Systems and was the company's Chairman and CEO. CSG was transformed from a segment of a large company with little growth and declining products to a public company that went from $80 million in revenue to over $530 million in revenue and offices in over 20 countries. He retired from CSG in 2005. He is Managing Partner of Hansen Partners and is active in various start up and early stage companies. He has been, and remains, active on a number of University and charitable boards and both public and private company boards. He holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University Of Nebraska.
