Jennifer McFarlane is CFO of Zyomyx, Inc. which develops low cost point of care diagnostic tests. Her business career encompasses over 25 years’ experience in executive management and global investment banking. Before joining Zyomyx, Ms. McFarlane was CFO at LanzaTech, a biofuel company, where she built a global finance team and infrastructure to support the company’s product launch into three continents. Her prior positions include CEO of Astia, a nonprofit accelerator focused on high-growth women-led startups; Executive Director of Southern Pacific Petroleum, a public energy technology company in Australia; and Vice President, Investment Banking at Salomon Brothers (now Citigroup). In total Ms. McFarlane has assisted in raising over $600M, principally for early stage companies and has closed approximately 15 M&A transactions. Ms. McFarlane has an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business, and a BSc (Biochemistry) and LLB (Law Degree) from the University of New South Wales, Australia. She is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, and was awarded the Centenary Medal by the Prime Minister of Australia.
