David Wu is an active investor and entrepreneur, and is currently a Partner at Maveron LLC. He is board member at August Home, Aria Innovations, and Darby Smart and was previously a board member at SeatMe (acquired by YELP), Line2, and Flipora. He has also served as the Internet Committee Chair on the deal screening committee for the Band of Angels and was an Executive-In-Residence at Redpoint Ventures. As an angel investor, he has invested in over 25 startups, including Practice Fusion, Postmates, SeatMe, Beautylish, and Tile, and his investments have gone on to raise over $250M of institutional funding. Previously, David worked at Intuit, where he was a Vice President in their Small Business Group, managing a variety of businesses including QuickBooks Online, Intuit.com, and Intuit Websites. David joined Intuit as part of the company’s acquisition of Homestead Technologies Inc. for $170M, where he was the Chief Product Officer, COO, and CFO since 1997. David has a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering and a B.A. degree in Economics from Stanford University, and in a past life, David has also toured the country as a professional bass player, as well as floated down.
