Craig Harding is a corporate lawyer with over 30 years experience, representing companies in a variety of industries. He is Managing Director of Sand Hill Corporate Engineering, which provides corporate engineering products and services to corporations of varying sizes. He is also founder and deal engineer at Deal Labs, a laboratory for financial transactions of all types. Craig Harding is the former General Counsel and Secretary of Tesla Motors, Inc., where he worked for five years for all four current and former Tesla CEOs. In this position, he handled legal affairs for the company, including corporate work, supplier agreements, and intellectual property law. Harding supported Tesla's Series D, E, and F private equity rounds, the loan to Tesla from the Department of Energy, and Tesla's IPO. Prior to joining the executive team at Tesla Motors, Craig Harding was General Counsel and Secretary at Metreo, Inc. Previously, he was General Counsel at Intershop Communications, the largest electronic commerce company in Europe. In addition, Craig Harding served as General Counsel of Kaleida Labs (a joint venture of Apple and IBM), and Actra Systems (a joint venture of Netscape and General Electric). Craig is also a member of Sand Hill Angels. He has a JD from Vanderbilt University Law School and an AB in mathematics from Duke University. Craig Harding is a current member of the State Bar of California. He is happy to discuss Level 4 self-driving cars with Band members, and often will ride a Honda VFR to angel meetings. Craig is a distance runner and has completed over 50 marathons and ultramarathons, including the American River 50M, Western States Endurance Run (100 miles), and Miwok 100K Trail Race. Harding completed the Miwok 100K in a time of 12 hours 17 minutes. Craig Harding has two daughters and lives in Woodside, California.
